The 2019 nhl teams All-Star Weekend is here, and this year’s event is shaping up to become among the best in quite some time. With the abilities competition getting underway on Friday along with the all-star game set to be played on Saturday, chances are outside at sportsbooks for all of the action on the ice in San Jose, California.
BetOnline has started the Pacific Division as +200 favorites, together with the Atlantic Division (+250), Metropolitan Division (+250) and Central Division (+400) also available to wager on. Here is the fourth straight all-star game which will use the four-team, 3-on-3 single-elimination divisional format.

In precisely the same format as the previous three all-star games, the captaincy of each branch came out of a fan vote. Alex Ovechkin was voted the Metropolitan captain but is bypassing the game and a replacement captain has not yet been named. Jon Cooper (Atlantic), Todd Reirden (Metropolitan), Paul Maurice (Central) and Bill Peters (Pacific) were selected as the coaches for its exhibition affair.
Pacific Wants to Return to back
Last year, the Pacific All-Stars came out on top in the 3-on-3 tournament. The Pacific Division had the chances at +230. Brock Boeser of this Vancouver Canucks paved the way for the Pacific thanks to two goals and an assist while getting called the Most Valuable Player from the process. Boeser became the first rookie to win MVP because Mario Lemieux accomplished the feat in 1985.
McDavid is your MVP favored at +500 chances. Johnny Gaudreau (+800), Nikita Kucherov (+900), Matthews (+900) and MacKinnon (+1000) round out the top five.
